Description

So the next few months are going to be a whirlwind of activty for me. I'm getting married in June, so pretty much from here until July I'll be busy with wedding-related stuff. Until then, in my free time, I'm prepping for future projects. I may be getting commissioned to build the Master Sword from Skyward Sword, which would be a dream build for me whether I get the commission or not. If I don't get it, I'm going to jump into a pair of builds that really pique my interest in a different manner.

Shown here from left to right are the following: The four swords from Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures, The Four Sword from the Four Swords series, and the Goddess White Sword from Skyward Sword (shown only for scale purposes). Why do the Four Swords pique my interest? I've scoured the internet for lots of Zelda sword builds, and most people I've found making swords are making some version of the Master Sword. I rather like the fact that there are lots of other swords in the Zelda franchise, and that some games don't even have the Master Sword. The unassuming nature of these "lesser" swords really appeals to my interests.

Anyways, I scaled the two Four Swords to my Goddess White Sword based on overall length, grip length, and grip diameter. Considering the whole Four Swords series is sort of chibi-styled anyways, I can't quite consider the character designs to directly coincide with the more realistic anime stylization of Skyward Sword. So some assumptions have been made here for the sake of consistency among my sword builds. The idea here is that any Zelda swords I produce will appear in-scale with each other. Which works out very well in this instance, because if we're to take the Four Swords style Link as being "child Link," then the lengths of the two Four Swords pictured here would be perfect for a child's height.
