Daft Punk

These costumes are replicas of the outfits worn by Daft Punk at the TRON Legacy movie premier. The helmets were designed in Rhino3D and taken through the Pepakura process. The ear details for Guy's helmet were laser engraved by a local trophy shop, and the ear puck for Thomas' helmet was lathed by a friend out of aircraft aluminum. All the helmet components were molded and cast out of fiberglass, and then shipped off to be chromed. A vacuum-forming buck for Guy's visor was derived from a throw-away casting, and vacuum-forming bucks for the hand plates were carved out of MDF.

The tuxedos are not the correct style, but are the closest available from Men's Warehouse (which ended up providing the best option for our tuxedo budget). The correct style is a single button peak lapel tux, while ours are single button notch lapel. It's close and most people won't know the difference, but it's worth noting.
